Thanks for wanting to know more about me and my art!  My name is Holly Bartos, and I am the one-woman show behind goodbloom.  I am a thirty-something self-taught artist who is continually exploring my creativity.  Several years ago I felt that there was something missing in my otherwise wonderful life.  At the time I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what it was.  It came to me early in 2008 that I had a need for a creative outlet and that was what I had been craving.  3 years ago I had painted flowers on my daughter’s walls to decorate her room.  I remember feeling such peace and enjoyment during the painting process, and loved having something tangible to come out of that time.  So early in 2008 I decided to start painting what I knew...flowers. 

I love things that make me happy.  I love bright colors and the feelings they convey.  I also happen to love retro and whimsical styles.  My artwork is the outcome of my exploration into the creative side of myself that has been long neglected.  I feel like I’m giving myself art lessons, since I love to buy something new to try and see what comes of it.  I realize there is a lot about art I don’t know, but in my opinion the love of creating art is the most important aspect of art and can’t be learned.  Be sure to check out my blog to see more of my current work, inspirations and more about me!
